Well that was a blast… a run of great Rich Webb Band shows starting in London, heading to Germany, then France, then back to London, then straight up to the North of England. Not sure we could have stuck more into those few weeks.
In between we had a week of rehearsal on the coast of Brittany before heading into Black Box studios in the Loire Valley for five fine days with David Odlum and producer Howard Bargroff.
Highlights too many to mention, but include an excellent night supporting ‘Summerhill’ back at Steve’s fabulous ‘What’s Cookin’ in London, the evening with German radio legend Volker Rebell was pretty special, and it was grand to catch up with a load of family and mates we haven’t seen for a while at the Queen’s Hotel in Epworth.
The recording went rather well too, but you’ll be hearing a lot more about all of that soon…
Quick thanks to Jon Webb who played sax pretty much all the way around, Manuel Klemm for putting the German leg together yet again, cousin Ian Robotham for organising the Epworth shin dig and Pascal and Camille at Bar des Lacs for making us feel pretty special with their stunning hospitality.
We’re gearing up right now to do it all over again – so hang in there, and hope to see you all on the next run around.
